At GroZeyRun, we take your privacy seriously. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.

1. Information We Collect

We collect the following personal data when you create an account or use GroZeyRun:
Name — required to personalise your experience, manage your account, and communicate with you.
Email address — required to create and manage your account, send service communications, and for analytics.
Grocery & purchase history — required to power core app features such as smart suggestions, spending summaries, and personalised recommendations.
All data collection listed above is required for the app to function. None of it is optional or shareable.

App functionality: to provide grocery lists, suggestions, budget tracking, and all core features.
Personalisation: to tailor recommendations and the in-app experience to your habits.
Analytics: to understand how the app is used and improve it over time.
Developer communications: to send you important updates, account-related messages, and service notices.
Account management: to create, maintain, and secure your account.
We will never use your data for advertising, marketing, or purposes incompatible with what is described here.

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with third parties.
Your name, email, and purchase history are collected solely for the purposes described above and remain within GroZeyRun's systems.
We use Resend for transactional email delivery. Only your email address is passed to this service, solely to send you messages you have triggered (e.g. account confirmation, deletion link).
We use Google Analytics for aggregated, anonymised usage analytics. This data is not linked to your identity.

Your data is stored securely using industry-standard practices.
We use Supabase as our backend provider. All data is encrypted in transit (TLS) and at rest.
Account creation requires a username and password. We do not support third-party OAuth login.
Despite our best efforts, no method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security.

We may use cookies and similar tracking technologies to improve your experience.
You can control cookie preferences through your browser settings.
We use Google Analytics to understand aggregate usage patterns. This data is anonymised and not linked to your identity.

You have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal data at any time.
To request permanent deletion of your account and all associated data, visit grozeyrun.com/delete. You will receive a secure deletion link by email.
Depending on your location, you may have additional rights under applicable privacy laws (e.g. GDPR, NZ Privacy Act 2020).

GroZeyRun is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
